Reform of the accreditation examination for industrial property agents

The accreditation examination for industrial property agents in 2011 was held on August 19, 20, 21 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with nearly 150 examinees. This examination’s contents consist of five professional subjects: Industrial Property Law, Industrial Property Information, Industrial Design, Trademark – Geographical Indication and Invention – Layout Designs. Examinees who pass all subjects of the examination will be granted the Certificate of Accreditation to exercise as industrial property agents.

In order to create favorable conditions for the examinees attending this examination, the National Office of Intellectual Property of Viet Nam prepared and provided each examinee with a set of documents for reference during the examination, including the legal documents on/relating to industrial property field, the international treaties on industrial property, the international patent, industrial design and trademark classifications. Thus, the discipline in the examination room was improved dramatically in comparison with the previous examinations.
