The PPH program between the IP Vietnam and the JPO continues as of April 1, 2022

- Implementation time: from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2025 (this is the 3rd phase of the program)
- Quota: 200 PPH requests per year for patent applications originating from the JPO (previously filed with the JPO).
Our comments:
– The PPH program is found effective in accelerating substantive examination for patent applications.
– The IP Vietnam continues to receive PPH requests as of April 1, 2022.
– We find that the number of PPH requests is often reached in a very short time; therefore, the applicants should file the PPH request as soon as possible.
