    The National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam (NOIP) and National Institute of Industrial Property of France (INPI) convened the joint committee meeting in Hanoi on 1st November 2011. Director General of NOIP, Mr. Ta Quang Minh and Director General of INPI, Mr. Yves Lapierre co-chaired the meeting. Present at the meeting, there are representatives of French Embassy in Vietnam and related divisions of NOIP.

    The Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) between the National Office of Intellectual Property of Viet Nam (NOIP) and the Japan Patent Office (JPO) was concluded on 13 February 2012, under which, the JPO assists NOIP to improve the effectiveness of the Vietnamese intellectual property system, thus facilitating trade and investment between Vietnam and Japan.

    The accreditation examination for industrial property agents in 2011 was held on August 19, 20, 21 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with nearly 150 examinees. This examination’s contents consist of five professional subjects: Industrial Property Law, Industrial Property Information, Industrial Design, Trademark – Geographical Indication and Invention – Layout Designs. Examinees who pass all subjects of the examination will be granted the Certificate of Accreditation to exercise as industrial property agents.
